This is an old picture I found on his daughter Kylie's facebook. From left to right....Troy, Kylie, Kelsie (Tod's daughter) and Tod (Troy's brother). He was with these 3 people plus his son when the accident happened
They were up fishing/hunting/scouting...whatever outdoorsmen do. They had taken horses up quite aways into the mountains...nothing that they have never done many times.
To make a long story short, Troy's horse was spooked and bucked him off...he hit is head on a rock. He was knocked out and even stopped breathing....his brother is a Dr and in my opinion saved his life...I don't think he would be with us today if he was not with Tod.
Tod's daughter had to go down the mountain about 10 miles to get phone reception and call 911. They sent life flight but the helicopter was too small so another one had to come...6 hours later Troy was finally on his way to the hospital.
He has been put on a breathing tube and a million monitors to keep tabs on what his brain is doing. Now is a waiting game. He needs MANY prayers!!

September 13th
I went and saw him today. He was stable and even had woken up and recognized his family. He couldn't communicate because of the breathing tube and was very irritated so they and to sedate him. No major swelling to be worried about which is fantastic news!

September 14th
Got news that the breathing tube is out but he is still sedated. Everyone is very positive, it's looking good.
