{Temple Lights}

We took a little drive up to the Temple to look at lights before it got too cold.

I love this little tradition of ours.  Afterwards we get some hot chocolate and head home.

 

{Early Christmas}

I love this picture for a couple of reasons....

#1 - Dave is so freaking cute!

#3 - Dave is a HOTTIE

Dave kicked some booty at work the last 3 months and wanted to treat himself to a new set of golf clubs.

We went to the driving range to try them out.  He is in love.  And that makes ME very happy to see him so relaxed and happy.

{Halloween}

Halloween can get a little crazy when Dave's sister is involved :)

We didn't really have a desire to go out that night but they wouldn't take no for an answer.

Result?

Dave dressed up like a girl.  She always wanted a sister!

And Jeff ended up being a girl too

They were a hit at the party!  We even found the theme this year had a lot of men dressed up as women

And us girls...well we were just cute!  No cross dressing for us!

He is sure lucky I love him!  He looks better is tights than I do!

Then at work I got talked into dressing up as the Three Amigos.  If you know me, you know that I HATE dressing up.  But this turned out fun and we looked awesome!

This was another group that cracked me up.  They were called "The wrong direction"
an old man boy band.  I have a signed picture of them.  I'm sure it will be worth some money one of these days

Buddy the Elf was there.  Who doesn't love Buddy!  He did really good at keeping in character.

I am really a party pooper about Halloween and I feel bad that Garrett gets the crap end of the deal.  I forget that he is still young enough to do these things.  He was able to throw a costume together and him and Izaak went as nerds.

This kid IS too old to dress up!  I'm not about to go spend $40.00 on a costume.  So he gets to dress up in an old costume.

{16 Years}

Total of 20 years together! 16 years of marriage. I couldn't have picked a better person to be on this crazy ride with! You are my better half and I could never live without you. I love you more than I can put into words. Thank you for being my best friend, my laughter, my cheerleader, my support, and a shoulder to cry on. You are my everything! ♥ ♥ ♥

{Remembering}

Today marks the 6th year that Dave's dad passed away.  He was a great man!  He didn't have an easy life but he made the best of what he had.  He was such a hard worker even when is health wasn't that great.  And he had a laugh that made you smile!

We went to dinner with Dave's sister and his mom to celebrate his life.  One of his favorite places to eat was Brick Oven.

 

{Concert VIP}

Dave was given tickets to the Brad Paisley concert in the Coca Cola SUITE!  This is the ONLY way to watch a concert!  Couches?  And we were SO close to the stage!

 

At one point he even came out in the audience to sing a few songs and walked right past us!

{Lake Powell}

We had the vacation itch I guess because just a couple weeks after our cruise, we spent another 3 days in Lake Powell.

My sister bought a house boat and my Dad rented it from her and invited all of the family.  Some of us went the first week and some of us went the last part of the week.

We went the last part of the week with Kent & Janie family, Taura's family (Vickie's daughter) and Josh & Tiffany Family (Vickie's daughter)  We had a lot of fun but we missed Lynn.  They were traveling back East as a family after Robert got home from his mission.

I got some crochet time in!

 

{Race Time} {Engaged}

Jeff invited us to the races at Miller Motor Sports and we had a blast!

We have so much fun with him, Tara and the kids.

 

Dave and Jeff are such goof balls together  They crack me up!

At the end of the night I got this text.....She said Yes!!!!

{Father's Day}

Since we were just getting back from our trip I knew we wouldn't want to pack up and go anywhere the next day so I decided to host Father's Day at our house.

We had a nice little BBQ and the cousins had a blast playing together.

and Kent is super happy about I don't know what! haha

 

I have an awesome Dad!  He does so much for everyone and you would never guess

 that he is 70 years old!  I love that he is still young and active

Then there is this guy.  You can't take him anywhere!

He makes me smile, laugh and just feel like a princess

And these boys are pretty darn lucky to have such an amazing father

 that will do anything in his power to make them happy.

We finally got on the boat!  And the best part, we had another full day at sea before our first stop.  I was ready for some RELAX time!

 

Our first night at dinner and the kids were SO uncomfortable!  It was really fancy.  Too fancy for us

So funny!

By the end of the trip our waiters knew pretty much what we were going to order before we ordered it.  They had our drinks on the table before we even got there

and we taught them what fry sauce was.  McKay had fries with every meal

 

These were our fun waiters that we had serving us at every meal. 

 

One night at dinner we had a visit from Crush

 

The boat had a cool slide that went from one side of the boat to the other side.

The line took forever but we rode it a few times.

They played movies outside by the pool every night

 

Of course we had to sit and watch with these little stinkers



One night they covered the pools and had a pirate party

 

The owner wanted everyone in our group to have shirts with our motto or something funny that we always say on the back of it

 

Dave said: Work hard Play hard

McKay: Losing isn't an option

Garrett: This one time....SQUIRREL!

Mine: Running, Cheaper than therapy

 

It was always fun to go into the room after they had turned our beds down for the night

Our favorite night at dinner was at Animator's Palate.  We had to draw our own character and then they put it up on the TV and made a cartoon out of everyone's drawing.  It was really funny

 

It was sad to say goodbye!

 

The last night I had to get a picture of us eating ice cream.  FREE ICE CREAM THE ENTIRE TIME?!  I don't even want to think about how many ice cream cones the kids had.
