{Happy Birthday mom}

Happy Birthday Mom! It has been 9 years since you passed away and it still seems like yesterday. Today begins a week that I dread every year. Not a day goes by that I don't think about the nightmare we went through but this week I re live it. I thought it was suppose to get easier? It doesn't. I miss you every second of every day. I would give anything to have one more day with you.

I am angry. It isn't fair that I will never be able to have that "friendship" every mother and daughter get to have once the daughter grows out of her selfish stage and actually appreciates everything her mom did for her. I miss telling you good news and I miss you fixing things when they were not going so good for me.

I miss you with my kids. You loved them so much and they loved you even more. The bond you had with them was incredible.

I miss the parties you would have to celebrate a holiday, birthday or just because. I miss your cooking. I miss going the the house I grew up in and feeling at home whenever I was there.

I am still waiting to find out why we had to go through this and I know the answers won't come until I die. I can't wait to see you again. I know you are in heaven getting everything in order. You always had to have everything just right.

So until then just know that I love you with every fiber of my being and I will never forget the amazing mother that you were.

{Pile on the Miles 2012}

My friends love to pressure me into things and I am such a sucker!  Good thing they pressure me to do GOOD things :)

A few of us are starting this challenge

http://runeatrepeat.com/2012/10/23/pile-on-the-miles-2012/

Challenge myself to run more during the month of November. The goal is to pile on extra miles not pounds during this food filled time of year!

Set a goal for how many miles I plan on running for the month.  I had to do a lot of math for this one.  I am scared to commit but I am going to shoot high.

100 miles

That is roughly 25 miles a week.  Doable?  I hope so!

My plan is to bring my running clothes to work EVERYDAY and hit the gym at least 4 times a week...maybe more.  Not only do I need to keep this goal but I need to lose another 30 pounds by summer!

I am going to take a picture everytime I run and post it on Instagram with the hash tag #POTM.  It will keep me honest! :)  happy2bmimi is my username if anyone wants to follow

Wish me luck!

{Happy Birthday Garrett}

12 years old!  I can't even believe my youngest child is 12 years old!

And if he didn't have a dang good birthday then there is something wrong with him! :)

It started out on Saturday with a party with his friends.  We have always given the boys a budget on their birthday and they can decide how to use that money...whether it is a party, the cash to go shopping or both.  Usually money talks and they go with the cash.  This year he wanted to have a party but didn't want to spend a ton of money (hmmm....do you think they are learning??)   So he decided on swimming.

I dropped them off at the local rec center and decided to get some exercise while they swam...I ran around the track for about an hour and as I was going into the pool area to watch them, they were coming out of the locker room.  They were DONE!?  Guess that wasn't such a great plan after all.

Needless to say I didn't get any pictures of them swimming so I hurried and took one as we were leaving

We went home and I cooked some pizza while they hung outside to play....good thing it was nice weather...I had NO idea what I was going to do to entertain them.

After pizza we had cake and ice cream....then they just hung out and got ready for a halloween party that all of them go invited too.

Sunday....On his birthday, Dave had to work so we just hung out until we could celebrate with him.  I went and got us lunch at his request....Subway and a fruit smoothie from McDonalds.

His dinner request was Golden Coral....ugh.... We invited Jeff, Tara and the kids to come.  It was nice to hang out with them for a little bit.
They made him stand on his chair and they sang to him.

After dinner we went to a few stores because he had some money burning a hole in his pocket.

He settled for am RC car, Xbox Live and we gave him a phone....and he STILL had money left over!

Grandpa and Vickie are in Hawaii working at the PCC so they sent him a pillow case and put money in his bank account.

Happy Birthday Garrett!  We love you and your blunt, no filter but soft hearted personality!

{Family Photo Shoot 2012}

It is always a pain in the rear to get family pictures taken, but we finally did it.

Dave's sister came with us to take them because I am too cheap to pay someone.  I think they turned out pretty good!

A silly one is always a must
