{2011}

I always love a new year. Everything in the past can be forgotten and a chance for a fresh start is possible.

I can make the typical resolutions...lose weight, save money, blah blah blah. As I reflect on 2010 I realize more important things I need to work on.

1. Being a better mother. I have a short fuse with my kids. I don't have patients. I think I expect more out of them than I should. This year I want to yell less and love more. They are growing up so fast and I don't want to regret missing out on this stage in their lives. I want to be a fun, and "cool" mom, I want to be more nurturing and someone they feel like they can come to for any struggles they are having, for advice they need and know that I am their biggest fan. I love them more than life and I let life get in the way.

2. Being a better wife. I am married to the most amazing man! I have a best friend that I get to spend the rest of my life with. Sometimes when I am feeling stress I take it out on him and it isn't fair. He is my whole world and I need to show him that more.

3. Being a better friend. I have the pleasure of knowing some pretty amazing women. Some I have known for a few years and some I have known for over a decade. I want them to know how much they mean to me. I have already started the process of forgiveness and made some appologies. Life is to short to dwell on the past and what people have or have not done to me. I have never really been a jealous person, I am happy for everyones successes and try to show that I support them 100%. I want them to know they can count on me for anything. I am going to stop being judgmental and stop the gossip. I don't want to be known for being two faced or back stabbing. I want to surround myself with positive people.

4. Being a better sister and daughter. Since my mom died my family doesn't get together as often. My mom was so good at planning things, we got together for any little event. Now that my dad is back from his mission I hope we can start doing more things. Birthdays, holidays, activities the kids are in etc..

{Christmas 2010}

We had a great Christmas this year!

Dave and I were pretty content with the cruise we got from my work that we decided not to spend a ton of money on each other and just focus on the kids.

They got new helmets for their 4 wheeling, Kinect, xbox games, xbox live, Garrett got a TV for his room.  Shoes, clothes, chargers for their paddles, McKay got a new phone and a few other things.

A couple of days before Christmas we went up to Heber and went bowling with my family, it was a blast.

On Christmas day we went to Tara's house for lunch and then came home and just relaxed.

Then my dad and Vickie came over the next day to see what the boys got for Christmas.

{Historical building on fire}

What a sad day!  This beautiful building that I spent many, many stake conferences at is now a totally loss.!

They still don't know what started it but a girl said they had a lot of production lights set up for a broadcast they were going to do tonight.  So I'm sure it is electrical

 OUCH!  Those seat were hard, but they kept you from falling asleep! :)

{Wake me up because I am dreaming!}

We went to my yearly Christmas Party for my work just excited to have a nice dinner at the Roof Restaurant at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake

....this is what we left with.

A 7 day LUXURY cruise leaving from ROME, ITALY through GREECE!  ALL expenses paid!

I am in shock! And SO our of our league!  This isn't just any cruise.  It is the best of the best.  The boat is small, every room is a suite and everyone has their own butler.  Here is just a glimpse of what we are in for..

A Butler for Everyone
Meet your very own butler who never says no. Who can unpack your luggage, send your suit out to be pressed, make your dinner reservations … and then tip off the chef that you adore escargot. And when it’s time to retire, your butler ensures that your nocturnal journey is as comfortable as your waking one. Your nightclothes are laid out, the covers turned down, and a sprinkling of rose petals or a chocolate may be placed on your pillow. No detail is too small. No request insignificant.

At Your Service
Around the world and around the clock, your butler is available to pamper you with countless luxuries and delightful surprises:

Upon Arrival
Welcome you with chilled champagne
Present a selection of toiletries
Offer a choice of goosedown, hypoallergenic, or therapeutic pillows
Explain the in-suite entertainment controls
Unpack your luggage, hang clothing and set out personal items
Chill your preferred assortment of beverages in your suite’s refrigerator
Discuss any special food preferences with the chef or maitre d’ hotel
Make onboard dinner reservations*
Arrange private fitness sessions
Throughout Your Voyage
Ensure your suite is immaculate
Suggest and serve breakfast orders
Polish and condition your shoes
Facilitate laundry and dry cleaning requests
Replenish your in-suite bar setup and preferred beverages
Refresh ice bucket
Turndown bedding nightly
Prepare and pack your luggage
Additional Services for Royal, Grand and Owner’s Suites
Liaise with the Silver Shore Concierge to coordinate shoreside activities
Serve afternoon canapés
Secure shoreside dining reservations
Organise an in-suite cocktail party
Draw a scented whirlpool bath

The company I work for is going into their 20 year.  They are doing VERY well.  The owner, Noel, stood up at dinner with tears in his eye saying how much he has always wanted to go on a cruise and he was going to make it happen....we all thought he was talking about with his family...Nope, THE ENTIRE COMPANY.  He was so overwhelmed with emotion he couldn't continue and had to turn the microphone over to the President of the company.

Dave and I are in total shock and have no idea what we are in for, we are not travelers.  We don't even have passports!

Thank you TestOut!  You are making dreams come true!
