{Twilight}

My sister is in town and I couldn't pass up the chance to go see Twilight with her since we didn't get to go see it together opening night.

I loved it the second time even more! I can't wait until it comes out on video....I will spend the entire day watching it over and over and over again.

{Christmas 2008}

We had a great Christmas!

The boys woke up at 6:00am which was later than I thought it would be. My mom and dad always had the tradition of making us come wake them up before going in and seeing what Santa brought....it was torture but SO FUN! The anticipation would kill us everytime and I don't think it helped when my dad would take his time turning the lights on, playing Christmas music and even building a fire before we could go in.

I have tried to keep the tradition going just so I can be in the room to take pictures of their faces etc....but Dave thought it was silly and to just let them go in. All the houses we have lived in has had the kids rooms on the same side as the master so I would make them come wake me up before going in. This new house has the master on the other side so they have to walk by the livingroom. When I put them to bed I didn't say anything about coming to wake me up first....but to my surprise they came in our room and woke us up before turning the lights on to see what they had. I was so happy!! They must think that is a pretty great tradition too!

So this is their reaction....see the blur in the picture? That is McKay jumping up and down. He was so excited. I think he has it pretty much figured out that mom and dad help Santa get the stuff and put it under the tree. He was very money cautious about what he asked for and kind of had in his mind that he wouldn't get what he asked for.
I think it is time to let the cat out of the bag. We will still let Santa come and make sure they know not to ruin it for other kids but it is too hard to keep lying to them when they ask questions, and maybe they will appreciate what they get more because they know it is coming from us.They got Guitar Hero World Tour which is more of a family gift because all of us can play together....just call us the HorRocker Family Band!

They got these cool chairs that have speakers in them so they can sit and listen to their I-pods or have surround sound when watching TV or playing video games. Both of the boys got I-Pods and now I need ear plugs to drown out the extra loud off key singing. At least I know my kids will never have a career in singing! ha ha
The rest was just your typical stuff.....cars, toy guns, books, clothes, snow pants, candy.

After playing a few rounds of guitar hero and downloading songs on I-pods we braved the snow storm to go visit Dave's mom and her husband Daryl.

We came home, had visitors, ate lots of food, I downloaded picture to the digital frame I got :), and anytime that Dave and I can sit on the couch and spend time together is a WONDERFUL day. We don't get to do that much anymore with him going out of town all the time for work.

{Sledding}

For Christmas Eve we got invited by our friends Jeff and Tara to go sledding in Midway at Soldier Hollow . What a PERFECT night to go!! It wasn't crowded at all. Thank you for inviting us!! It was a blast!

This is a group of about 30 of us all going down at the SAME time. It was crazy and i'm surprised no one got hurt. The kids thought it was AWESOME! And i'd have to say it was pretty fun also!

{Horlacher Family}

Dave's side of the family came over today to eat lunch and exchange gifts. I always love getting together with his family because we all get along so well and have a lot of fun together. We were just missing Dave's brother Kory. Too bad he couldn't find a couple hours in his day to stop by.

{Christmas Party # 4}

Tonight our friends Johnny and Ruthanne invited us to their house to see Santa and play games.

The kids game was first, I have never seen this one played before. You have to bend over and pick up the paper sack with your mouth, your feet have to stay on the floor, you can't kneel down and your hands can't touch the bag or the floor. Once you pick up the sack you rip a piece off the bag (as big or small as you want) Pretty soon the bag keeps getting smaller and smaller. It's really funny to watch!
This is when the bag was full size
And this is after 5 or 6 rounds

Before we left I warned the kids that Santa was going to be there so they could prepare (or actually I could prepare) them what to say, ha ha. But as soon as Santa arrived they panicked and asked me 4 or 5 times what they were going to say. The picture below is McKay making a plan with Garrett about who was going to ask for what.
McKay asked for an I-Pod Nano.
And Garrett asked for an I-Pod and Guitar Hero World Tour
I just asked for world peace. We will see if that comes true or not huh??

It was a great night! Thank you Johnny and Ruthanne for inviting us! Too bad Johnny got called out to work and Dave left at noon to go to work so they couldn't join us.

{Girls Night}

Every month I get together with a bunch of amazing friends and scrapbook. This month we decided to take a break from scrapbooking, go to dinner and exchange gifts.

We went to Tuchanos in Provo and sat and talked for 5 hours!

After dinner a few of us drove around and looked at Christmas lights

Malinda strooled around the gas station with her awesome sweater she sported all night

Then we grabbed some icecream and went and played guitar hero!My camera has a continuous setting so I set it up and took pictures of us rockin out! We were laughing so hard! I had kind of a stressful week at work and these girls helped me let lose and relax. Thank you!!

{A Night Out}

The company I work for took us on a wonderful night out for their Christmas party!

First we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial building to eat dinner at the Roof Resturant. YUM. It was GREAT food and buffet style, Dave was in heaven.
This was our view! I'm not even joking, I was sitting by the window over looking the temple. SO BEAUTIFUL!
After dinner we went to Kingsbury Hall to see a play. "It's a Wonderful Life" put on by the Odyssey dance theater. It was fun and something that Dave and I would normally never go see.

{Circle Journal}

I finished another rotation of our Circle Journal. My Girl MALINDA!

Her theme was (Insert Owl) Whooooo do you listen to??
This is the front of the sign in card that Malinda decorated. SO CUTE!
And this is the back. I just added a picture of me and some funny inside jokes that me and Malinda have.

This is the layout I did

On the first page she wanted us to post a picture of us listening to music. I LOVE MY IPOD!

And then on the second page I just wrote a few playlists that I have programed into my IPod
