The kids have been wanting to see The Spiderwick Chronicles since they saw the preview on TV. We found a night that Dave was home which was tonight so what the heck.
Strange things start to happen the moment a family from New York move into the old house owned by their great, great uncle Arthur Spiderwick. When the 3 kids investigate what's really going on, they uncover the truth of the Spiderwick estate and of the creatures that live there.
I wasn't that excited to see it but it actually surprised me. It was a good movie. It had enough humor in it to keep it kid friendly. The creatures were a little scary looking and might give some young kids nightmares. I was a little worried about Garrett who is 7 but he seemed to handle it fine.
