{Lake Powell}

Despite the horrible weather report we headed out to our yearly Memorial Weekend trip to Lake Powell with Dave's brother Kory and his wife and kids. And this year we were so glad that Dave's sister Tara and her boyfriend Kelly could come also with his son Taijun.

We left on Thursday morning, it rained most of the drive with a small snow storm. ARGH! Not good.

We were so lucky to stay at a house that my husbands company owns in Page, AZ, just minutes away from the lake.

Friday was my birthday! My sister-in-laws Tara & Kelsie gave me a cute swimsuit and a beautiful necklace.

It rained off and on the ENTIRE day! The kids being stuck in the house all day was NOT good! LOL. They drove us crazy!

I couldn't wait for my birthday dinner! There is a fabulous Mexican restaurant in Page that I crave all year long! We had a BLAST at dinner! Lots of catching up and laughing

Me and the love of my life!

Saturday the weather wasn't any better. Not even worth putting the boats on the lake. So we decided to go on the Dam Tour at the Glen Canyon Dam.

The kids are now honorary Park Rangers!

Sunday we had a glimmer of hope for good weather, the kids were driving us crazy so off we went to the lake. The water was FREEZING and my kids wouldn't even think of getting in the water so we found a good beach to park at. The kids did a lot of hiking, exploring and catching lizards.

Monday was a little warmer but the wind was blowing like crazy. We went on the lake for about an hour and decided to call it a day.

Tuesday we were planning on going home but the weather was amazing and we just couldn't leave without having 1 good day on the lake. So we decided to stay and I am so glad we did! We went on a little adventure down the channel and found a awesome cove where we parked the boats, had lunch and let the kids play in the water. They mostly stayed on the tubes because the water was still FREEZING!

So the weather wasn't great but I am still glad we went. It was nice to spend time together as a family and spending time with Dave's siblings.

Looks like it was fun! That's a great way to celebrate your birthday... too bad it couldn't have been warmer. :)
