{Anniversary Weekend}

Wow, I had the most ROMANTIC weekend for my anniversary! Can you hear sarcasm in my voice on that one because you better. I am just giving Dave a hard time, it wasn't romantic but we had so much FUN and I was able to spend quality time with Dave and the boys which we haven't been able to do much lately with Dave working out of town and the summer being crazy busy.

These are the flowers that he gave me. Of course he didn't think of what he was going to do with them after he gave them to me and this is all I could find that they would fit in.
We went camping with Dave's sister Tara and her boyfriend Kelly. Kelly has a son (Taijun) that is Garrett's age and the boys hit it off so well! I told Kelly if him and Tara ever broke up I would need to get joint custody of Taijun.

This is the boys hiking up to the rocks.
Here are the dogs trying to cool off under the trailer. It was SOOOO hot and there were a million flies. We have only been camping to this place once before but it was in the spring and a lot cooler. Note to self, don't go camping in Elberta in the summer, great spring and fall camp spot.

The boys of course had to bring their guns and the whole time we were telling them how important gun safety was and to make sure the guns were always up until you were getting ready to shoot and no one was in the way. Taijun took hold the guns up VERY seriously.
Just a lonely sunflower growing by this dead tree, when I have time to photo edit this I bet it will look coolWe went on a 4 wheelin ride to explore. We stopped at this cement pad to see what was on the other side. I had to get the boys flexing for me

Below this cement pad was a mine. As we walked around we found a ton of old soup cans, horse shoes, and railroad nails It was so neat!

Garrett stumbled across another awesome treasure while we were exploring. We opened it up and found a letter explaining that we had found a worldwide game dedicated to GPS

If you take something out of it you need to put something back. Well we didn't really want to take anything out of it but we added some random things like a golf ball that was in my dad's 4 wheeler, a bullet out of Kelly's pocket and some bubble gum.

we signed our names and put it back for the next person. What a fun thing to go do sometime. Find all these treasures with a GPS.

Last time we went camping here the group we were with showed us this cool tunnel where the train use to go when a lot of mining was going on so we had to take Tara and Kelly to see it.

That night Tara and Dave set up a table on the other side of our trailer with a bed sheet as a table cloth, a lantern as candle light, my flowers and a small fire to give it the mood. Dave blindfolded me and took me around to surprise me. It was SO sweet. We sat there while the boys served us dinner.

The rest of the time we had fun sitting by the fire and just relaxing. Tara ended up taking the dogs for a ride on the 4 wheeler which was so funny because they actually just sat there and let her take them, they didn't even try to jump off.

We could have done the typical dinner and movie for our anniversary and looking back we would never remember what we did, but this anniversary will stand out in our memories a long with last years anniversary when we went to Hawaii. Thank you Dave! I love you!
